The canal is almost unfishable at giants grave due to the weeds. Is there anyway we can get the canal navigation company to cut it?

at best they will cut down as far as the bridge and not below that. if you want to organise a work party to clear it feel free , the club will help as much as we can

Yeah no probs I'll drag swim as I need it if needs be.
I honestly don't mind dragging a couple of swims down there. But it annoying if you do the work dragging and then people fish it who haven't got licences which I would guess is over 50% of people who fish down the grave.
The boat cut it last year past the bridge. What's the reason they won't do it anymore?

it is a matter of getting the boat out and back in again twice! we wre happy for them to do the rest of the canal from tonna to neath and did have a few people who said they would look after the swims on the bottom end of the canal, but they never followed through with their promises. dan tried to run some matches down there but attendance was low so they fell through as well. it would be great for the club and the anglers who fish down there if someone would take over looking after it for the club, with our support of course.

Don't know what's happened then cause I'm down the match stretch of the canal now down the grave and the cutting boat is down here and has cut most of the weed. Also the digger is here.

thats good to hear, when i asked them last they did not know when they would be doing any work, and said that it was unlikely the stretch below the bridge would be done. still needs someone to look after it though

i was only joking if there is rough ground behind you dump it there, it will soon dry out and rot down.
