The Gnoll Community Fishery was once an open air swimming pool and lately lay stagnant and lifeless. A joint Council, EA, and club venture saw funding acquired to improve the water. The damn had to be strengthened and sealed, an island created, the overflow controlled, and pegs built before any fish were introduced. The first stocking saw 27,000 fish, mainly roach, arrive from a netting that took place at Teglan fishery in Pembroke. These fish were soon being caught and packing on weight. A second recent stocking saw roach, rudd, tench, and crucian carp introduced to improve the biodiversity of the pond.

well its been stocked with 70,000 fish if u cant catch here u better off buying golf clubs. i had a cracking winter one year fishing hemp in the winter catching em shallow. was watching kevin hughes in the week fishing there. firing out maggot and they were boiling on the surface. he'd fish bread flake so it have a chance to hit bottom and have a skimmer one a chuck. there bream in there to 9lb roach to 14oz (maybe bigger but thats the biggest ive seen caught) theres a wild brown trout in there that must be well over 3.1/2lb it enormous. the water is really small but stuffed with fish. the crucians and tench do show now and again but most of the people that fish there are using bubble floats and such like. steve easton said he was fishing there tomorrow so hopefully he'll put a catch report up
