the depths are 4 foot to 8 foot. it all depends what you want to go for, there is a good head of silvers to go at or you could try for the carp skimmers and chub. bait depends on what ur targeting. pellet corn caster maggot are always on my side tray at this time of year. i like to try and get a mixed bag of fish but the boys that enjoy silver fish will forcus on them all match and the lads that like carp will sit on them. i think its a case of fishing tactics your most comfortable with.

hi allum mate wouldnt worry to much about flavours tbh as for pellet all sizes work on their day but sometimes the roach can be a pain when targeting the larger fish in the lake so would go with the 6mm soft or banded pellet in that instant rather than say 4mm if wanting to avoid the roach at yr perril during a match fish corn meat or large pellet hope this helps a bit

thanks. i will probably target the silverfish just so i have less of a chance of blanking really. how many lines would you feed? i have an idea but as i dont know what works best down there its hard to say. what method would work best? im trying to get as much info as possible so that i can prepare for the match.

i like to go for a mixed bag mate. go for roach and try and catch a few bonus fish like carp skimmers and chub. my roach line is usually the lenght of the top kit plus either one or 2 sections depending on the clarity of the water. set up a full depth rig and one shallower. a whip could also be an option.

hey dan if only i could draw as many flyers id be well chuffed bellieve me. callum ouestions will always help you so ask away . re; rigs for the pegs we,l be fishing on sunday you will need to carry them upto 1gram as some of the pegs are 8ft deep. 2 how many lines; id say whatever you feel comfy with 2 is a good starting point in winter but i could have as many as 4 on the go draw dependant. catching skimmers either a small bed of g/bait or pellet and fish it out the key is in the feeding and not what you put in to start. and the feeder has won many a match there so leave at home at your peril; dont be afraid to ask as most of us will answer your queries
